The suit, autumn's key piece: 3 ways to wear it

The suit is no longer just for the office. Worn as a full look, mixed and matched, or softened with a fluid shirt, it structures your silhouette and makes any outfit look put-together in seconds. Here are three ways to wear it this autumn, with pieces from our selection.

1. A statement blazer with wide-leg trousers

For a structured look, choose a blazer with character. The Charlotte blazer, in brown houndstooth, closes with a belt that defines the waist. Pair it with wide-leg tailored trousers such as the Kirsty trousers: their double pleat and wide leg balance the volume of the jacket.

Our tip: keep the rest of the outfit simple, with a plain top, and let the houndstooth pattern stand out.

2. The co-ord set, no thinking required

A matching top and bottom is the easiest way to look elegant first thing in the morning. The Daphné set combines a tailored waistcoat and trousers, in navy, brown or black. The striped Armelle set pairs a top with trousers, in brown, navy or burgundy.

Our tip: the two pieces of a set can also be worn separately. The trousers go with a shirt, the top with jeans or a skirt.

3. A cropped jacket or waistcoat, with a satin shirt

For a lighter version, swap the blazer for a cropped jacket with gold buttons like Albane, or a belted tailored waistcoat like Garance, which comes in black, white, navy and beige. Underneath, a satin shirt like Mathilde adds light and fluidity.

Our tip: this combination easily goes from the office to dinner: just change your accessories.
